Champions Online's first birthday is September 1, 2010 and its superheroes will be able to celebrate with an anniversary event.  The festivities begin on August 27, 2010 and last until September 6, 2010.

There will be a few events during this time, but there's no word on what those event are just yet.  It's suggested, though, to stop by the Renaissance Center to get a few gifts like costume pieces, party bombs, water balloons, and more.

If you're not currently a champion, don't worry, because you can check out the celebration, too!  From September 1, 2010 until September 7, 2010 anyone can jump on Champions Online and see what it takes to be a hero.  New and returning players can quest through Millennium City and beyond in a "largely unrestricted trial."

Of course, it wouldn't be an anniversary event without an item mall sale!  Nearly all C-Store items will be 20% for the first week of September.  The sale begins at 10:00 AM Pacific time on September 1, 2010 and lasts until 10:00 AM Pacific time on September 7, 2010.  A few more details about the anniversary celebration and what's next for Champions Online can be found in the latest State of the Game address.
